Privacy policy

Effective: 1 October 2026

This policy describes what Affliateman collects, why, and how to get it removed. It applies to affliateman.com and every subdomain we operate.

Short version

We collect the minimum needed to run a review site. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites.

What we collect

Newsletter email address. When you subscribe, we store your email address and a confirmation token. We use this to send you new reviews and occasional price-drop alerts. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We never share or sell this list.

Reader review submissions. When you submit a review on an article, we store your name (as you typed it), an optional email, your rating, your review text, an optional set of photos, and optional attribute ratings for price, service, and quality. If you mark the review as a verified purchase, we store that flag. Your email is never shown publicly. It is used only if we need to follow up.

Contact form submissions. When you contact us, we store your name (optional), email address, subject, message, and the reason you selected. We keep these until the conversation is resolved, plus 24 months for reference. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time.

Affiliate click data. When you click a "Buy" or "Check price" link on this site, we record a timestamped event with the following: which link you clicked, which post and product you came from, device class (mobile, tablet, or desktop), the referring page, and the country Cloudflare identified from the connection. We do not store your IP address. We do not set a cookie to track you.

Anonymous analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not fingerprint users. It reports aggregate page views and referrers to us. It does not identify individual visitors.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not store IP addresses on any user - We do not use advertising trackers (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads, no cross-site retargeting) - We do not run session recording tools - We do not build user profiles for advertising - We do not sell or share any data with data brokers

Third-party services we use

We use a small number of trusted providers. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, CDN, and analytics. Cloudflare may process connection metadata to deliver and protect the site. - Resend — transactional email for newsletter confirmations, contact notifications, and replies. Your email is shared with Resend only for delivery. - Cloudinary — image hosting. Uploaded reader review photos are stored there. - Supabase — authentication for our admin team. This does not affect readers. - OpenAI — internal tooling only. Your data is never sent to OpenAI. - Amazon Associates and other affiliate networks — when you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant may set its own cookies. We do not control their practices.

Data retention

• Newsletter subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe, then retained in an unsubscribed state so we do not accidentally re-add you. - Reader reviews: kept for as long as the review is published, or until you ask us to remove it. - Contact submissions: 24 months after the conversation is closed. - Affiliate click events: 24 months aggregate, then deleted. - Audit log entries: 36 months.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, California, or anywhere else with a data-protection framework, you have the following rights:

• Access — ask us for a copy of what we hold on you - Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate - Deletion — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements) - Portability — ask for a machine-readable export - Objection — object to processing for any reason - Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, email us and we will remove it.

International transfers

Our servers are operated by Cloudflare. Data may be processed in the United States or in the Cloudflare region nearest you. We rely on Cloudflare's standard contractual clauses for EU and UK data.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will note it on the homepage for 30 days. The effective date at the top of this page is always the current version.
